Red Yeast Rice is a completely natural way of lowering total blood cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, both of which are risk factors towards heart disease and stroke.
Red yeast rice is produced from rice that's been fermented with a type of yeast called Monascus purpureus. It's been used in China and other countries for centuries as a medicinal product.
Red yeast rice contains several ingredients that may help control or lower cholesterol levels. These include a number of monacolins, most importantly monacolin K. It also contains sterols, isoflavones, and monounsaturated fatty acids (The good Fats).
Believed to mimic statin activity through Monocolin K activity
Helps to safely reduce LDL cholesterol, known to cause arterial buildup
Reduces risk factors associated with heart disease and stroke
