Pinto beans have a hearty flavor, make delicious refried beans and are good in chili and salads.
Instructions: Soak in cold water for 8 hours or bring water and beans to boil for 2 minutes. Cover and set aside to soak for 1 hour. Bring to boil for 10 minutes in 3 parts water to one part beans and simmer covered for one to two hours.
