Organic Chicory Root

Frontier® Chicory Root is a hardy perennial best known for its association with coffee -- it produces a more roasted flavour, without caffeine. Chicory root can be made as tea or added to a hot beverage for a coffee-like flavor

Suggested Uses: To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb, cover and steep 3-5 min.

Function: Could delay or prevent the early onset of diabetes mellitus and improve bowel movement*                                                                           

Safety Info: Taking chicory by mouth in large amounts is POSSIBLY UNSAFE during pregnancy. Chicory might start menstruation and cause a miscarriage. Avoid use while breastfeeding.
