Organic Hulled Barley is the whole grain with only the inedible spikelet removed. With a chewy texture and nutty flavour, barley is a delicious whole grain that can be used in a number of ways. Rich in fiber, it is the healthiest kind of barley. However, it takes longer to cook than pearl barley, about an hour or more.
Instructions:. Boil 3 cups water or broth for every cup of dry barley. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the saucepan with a lid. Simmer the barley for 50 minutes.
