Caution
Consult a healthcare practitioner before taking if you have diabetes. There is. limited evidence from preclinical studies that burdock may have hypoglycemic activity. Use by adults with renal failure and or diabetes, and/or heart failure should be avoided because of possible complications due to hyperkalemia. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindications
Do not use it you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae Compositae/Daisy family, such as burdock or dandelion, or if you are allergic to stinging nettle. If hypersensitivity or allergic reactions occur, discontinue use. Do not use if you have gall bladder disorder, or obstruction of the biliary tract, acute gallbladder inflammation, or in the case of active peptic ulcer. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Do not use if you have liver disorders, and/or bowel obstruction. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Known adverse reactions
In sensitive individuals, mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting and diarrhea) or allergic reactions (itching, exanthema, hives) may occur from use of stinging nettle. The frequency is not known. Discomfort due to gastric hyperacidity may occur after taking herbs that contain bitter substances like dandelion.
